Cookie policy

How grent.online uses cookies and similar tools, under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website saves in the browser and reads again on later visits. Similar tools are, for example, the browser's local storage or loading resources from third-party servers. Technical cookies are needed for the website or a requested service to work and do not require consent; the others (non-anonymised analytics, profiling, marketing) can be used only after consent.

2. Browsing the public pages and choosing the language

G Rent does not use analytics, profiling or marketing cookies, nor statistics or advertising tools. In the technical checks carried out on the website code at the date of the last update, ordinary browsing of the public pages does not use the browser's local storage. The website may set only the following first-party technical cookies:

Without this cookie, the language is suggested on the basis of the country derived from the IP address at the time of the request (Italian for Italy, English for other countries), without storing anything in the browser.

The website's typefaces are served from the same grent.online domain and are not downloaded from third-party servers.

3. Technical cookies for registration and sign-in (customers and staff)

The following cookies are set only if you use registration, email verification, password recovery or sign-in to the customer area (/it/account, /en/account) or to the management system reserved for authorised G Rent staff (/backoffice). They are necessary for these services to work and do not require consent.

Visitors who browse the website without registering or signing in do not receive these cookies.

4. Jetwist widget and third-party resources

The flight search widget of our partner Jetwist is not loaded automatically. It is activated only:

on the Private Jet page, after clicking the “Open the flight search” button;
on the home page, after selecting the “Private Jet” tab of the availability search.

Before these actions the website makes no request to widget.jetwist.com, api-2.jetwist.com, fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com. After the click the browser downloads the script from widget.jetwist.com, contacts api-2.jetwist.com (including to record that the widget was displayed) and downloads a typeface from Google Fonts. These parties receive the IP address and technical browser data. In the checks carried out on the version of the script in use at the date of the last update, the widget does not set cookies and does not use the browser's local storage; Jetwist may however update its script. Searches in the widget and any later activity on the Jetwist website are subject to Jetwist's privacy notice and cookie policy, available at jetwist.com (opens in a new tab).

5. Hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel. G Rent has not activated the provider's analytics or performance monitoring services. The processing of technical browsing logs is described in the Privacy policy.

The website displays an information notice about technical cookies only. The “Accept and continue” button and closing the notice merely record that the information has been shown: they do not activate analytics, advertising or profiling cookies. Because the website does not install tools that require consent, no further preferences are needed. If tools of this kind are activated in the future, they will be loaded only after your consent, collected with a banner that lets you accept or refuse just as easily, and this page will be updated.

7. How to manage or delete cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings:

Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data;
Safari: Settings (or Preferences) › Privacy › Manage Website Data;
Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data;
Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Disabling technical cookies prevents registration and sign-in to the customer area and to the management system, but not browsing the website. To block requests to third-party services you can use your browser's protection features or avoid opening the Private Jet page.
